Taiwan stocks climb at close of trade

On Thursday, Taiwan stocks jumped after the close because revenues in the Paper & Pulp, Glass as well as Optoelectronic sectors brought stocks up.

The Taiwan Weighted leapt 0.16%.

On the Taiwan Weighted the best performers included Formosa Sumco Technology Corp, Cheer Time Enterprise Co Ltd and First Copper Technology Co Ltd. They soared respectively 9.99%, 9.98% and 9.93%.     

As for losers, they were represented by Ta Jiang Co Ltd, KPT Industries Ltd and Ennoconn Corp. They lost 6.04%, 4.02% and 3.68% respectively.   

Soaring shares supplanted decreasing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 411 to 344, while 120 stood still.

Stocks in Cheer Time Enterprise Co Ltd jumped to 52-week peaks, ascending 9.98%, hitting 24.80.

The currency pair USD/TWD ascended 0.08%, being worth 30.236. As for TWD/CNY, this currency pair was flat, keeping to 0.2251.

The US Dollar Index Futures headed north 0.02%, trading at 96.93.
