Taiwan's share market concludes with surge

On Friday, Taiwan's stock market concluded up by strengthening the sectors of optoelectronics, electricity as well as hotel business.

Taiwan Weighted tacked on 0.09% at the close of the Taiwan Stock Exchange .

The leaders of the surge among the components of the Taiwan Weighted Index were Min Aik Precision Industrial Co Ltd that tacked on by 9.91% concluding at 44.90. Quotes of Unitech Printed Circuit Board Corp soared by 9.86%, completing trades at the level of 22.85. Formosa Sumco Technology Corp inched up by 9.73%, concluding at 124.00.

The leaders of the fall were represented by the equities of Chaintech Technology Corp, which went down 9.88%, concluding the trading session at around 26.45. Shares of Coland Holdings Ltd climbed 9.78% to close at 41.50, while Sumagh High Tech Corp went down by 7 , 14% and concluded trading at around 26.00.

On the Taiwan Stock Exchange, the number of depreciated securities (461) managed to exceed the number of those finding themselves in positive territory (343). At the same time quotations of 111 shares didn’t change.

Sumagh High Tech Corp headed south to a 52-week minimum, descending about 7.14% and concluding this trading session at approximately 26.00.

In addition to this, May delivery WTI futures went down 0.19% coming up with an outcome of $66.94 per barrel. As for other products, the price of June delivery Brent crude futures decreased by 0.18% showing a reading of $71.89 per barrel. Additionally, June delivery gold futures dived 0.13% being worth $1.340.20 per troy ounce.

Meanwhile, in the Forex market, the currency pair USD/TWD tacked on 0.06% hitting 29,319, while the currency pair TWD/CNY sagged 0.09% ending up with the level of 0.2144.

As for futures on the USD index, they went up by 0.02% being worth 89.51.
