Taiwan equities edge up at close of trade
On Wednesday, Taiwan shares rallied after the close because revenues in the Gas & Electricity, Oil, Semiconductor as well as Cement sectors underpinned stocks.
The Taiwan Weighted gained 0.85% reaching a fresh 1-month maximum.
On the Taiwan Weighted the best performers were represented by Darwin Precisions Corp, Teapo Electronic Corp and Copartner Technology Corp. They rallied respectively 9.94%, 9.93% and 9.91%.
As for the top losers, they were Chang Type Industrial Co Ltd, Kung Sing Engineering Corp and Genesis Photonics Inc, sliding respectively 6.86%, 5.97% and 5.67%.
On the Taiwan Stock Exchange soaring equities outnumbered dipping shares by 452 to 323, while 108 were intact.
Equities in Darwin Precisions Corp tacked on to 5-year maximums, adding 9.94% to 44.80. Stocks in Chang Type Industrial Co Ltd dived to 52-week minimums, decreasing 6.86% hitting 44.10. Equities in Teapo Electronic Corp soared to all time maximums, adding 9.93% reaching 49.25. As for stocks in Copartner Technology Corp, they surged to 5-year peaks, earning 9.91% hitting 25.50.
The currency pair USD/TWD slumped 0.20% being worth 29.564, TWD/CNY surged 0.14% reaching 0.2200.
